| ALLERTON, IOWA, MAY 7, 2007 . . . The International Center for Rural culture and art is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a fun-filled special event. The Round Barn Jubilee will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2008 from 4 - 9 p.m. at the Historic Round Barn Site one mile east of Allerton, Iowa. From 4 to 7 p.m. there will be a variety of family events including a community choir competition in the New York Christian Church and a quilt show and silent auction in the Round Barn loft. Visitors will be able to see the progress on the site's newest addition, a Victorian home, moved to the site from Allerton in 2004. From 7 to 9 p.m., direct from Nashville, Abraham and Black Velvet will perform on the site. There will be food and refreshments available for purchase at the site. Entrance fee is a five-dollar per person donation, children 6 and under are free. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or cushions for the evening concert. In case of inclement weather, all events will be on site from 4 - 7 pm, but the concert will be held in the Allerton Centennial Building.
